Our target audience is mainly the pub ages which can be considered 18 onwards. The band has an alternative style to them and a lot of their influences that are shown on their website are considered alternative music such as Kings of Leon and Blink 182.
Considering this i researched into both these bands target audience to confirm what style and what age we should aim to impress.
Kings of Leon
When researching this band i found that there 2008 hit "sex on fire" is a pub and club classic because of its quick beat and memorable lyrics that are repeated throughout. Kings of Leon started on a very narrow target audience of 16-20 before this hit however because they changed the style to more upbeat and appropriate for a broader age group by doing this they expanded their target audience.
Blink 182
Though Blink 182 probably does not have a big target audience as Kings of Leon do it is still a large amount they are aimed more at young teens to early 20's they have been constant and have still expanded their target audience because of the growth of the "alternative culture" the majority of teens would know of this band.
How this relates to the Vees
Knowing how their influences developed their target audience we can portray this in the video so we can target as many people as we can. We would use similar techniques that Kings of Leon do by having the style that would appeal to the older generation but work with the string beat and more dramatic videos to appeal to the younger audience.
