   10:30-11:00

Tests of all the equipment and go through the production schedule and make sure the band and the crew know what they are doing. Clear all of the decisions made with the band.
   11:00-11:30

Film the first take of the song in full on pure freestyle performance not to the storyboard to ensure we have enough spare footage.
       11:30-12:00

The first 5-6 shots done twice over this includes the close up and the zoom which we will probably repeat more times.
   12:00-12:30

Lunch break for everyone and again ensure everyone is sure on what they are doing.
        12:30-1:30

Done all the shots on the storyboard at least once.
       1:30-2:30

Make sure we have all storyboarded shots 2-3 times and film the song fully changing the camera angles from the previous run through.
   2:30-3:00

Run through the song as many times as we can to feel comfortable with the amount of footage we have.

        3:00-4:00

Pack up all equipment and clean around if we have made mess hand the key over and go.

Recce

On Wednesday as a group we all went to go look at the location ready for Saturday we took pictures for the recce and sign the paper work needed.

Before we left  i decided to print out direction to the location and to also get a sat nav ready for the day having both of these we were still able to get lost for an hour however as i have said to the group it is good that we had a trial run of the journey and hopefully for Saturday we will know where to go.

We took pictures of all the sources of light and of the stage where we are going to be filming, the owners also gave us a tour of the area we have hired and what we have to use, Lucy signed the paper work and i took the key.

The Location

Location problems

For the video i wanted a derelict setting however after trying to find one i found it very difficult a lot of agencies or owners decided not to allow us to film because of our age and the liability they think we hold.

I asked Helen to look into booking Alconbury hall for the performance however after finding out that they had already had a booking i asked the group to all find numbers for possible venues that we could ring round the following day.

We phoned around and was finding it difficult to find a venue due to prices and availability however Helen had remembered a hall she went to when she was younger so we rang them up and enquired about hiring the hall they told us of a £12 an hour charge we asked our media teacher as to who would pay this we were told we would have to ask the band to pay.

We then booked the hall as a temporary thing until we could ask the band if this would be OK, i rang Tim the band representative to ask him however when i contacted him later he had told me he is changing numbers so did not receive my message though i emailed him as well to make sure we could get an answer as soon as possible.

Later we were told the band are OK with paying the £12 each for the five hours we have booked from 10-3, as a group we will be paying a £25 deposit that we will get back if the hall is in good condition.

I now have the key ready for Saturday to let ourselves in and will be driving the group to the location early in the morning to ensure we are on time if we do not get lost on the way.

We are now filming at the mandeville hall in kimbolton it is easier for the band as it is closer than other locations within peterborough as they are from st neots it has all facilities for the day and also has a stage with lights so will be good for our performance part of the video.

Final Written storyboard

Over the past few weeks my group and i have been talking through the ideas of the narrative and the performance, being director i have tried to but in ideas that i feel would work best to the music and what the band want as well.

The video starts off with establishing the band, we have close ups of every band member and long shots of them performing together showing their relationship as a band and to establish the whole setting.

The narrative story consists of a couple will show the relationship breaking down that reflects the lyrics of the song, However it also shows the happier times in the relationship in black and white to show it is a memory. I decided to include this because when we met with the band they wanted a happy side to the story.

The performance i have storyboarded has certain shots that i want to include but the performance is going to be a lot of free style how the band would normally perform to make it realistic and show their real personalities.

The narrative will include shots of the couple arguing we will display this with close ups along with mid shots and two shots, we were also considering including a split screen shot this is quite common in music videos to show the conflict between the couple.

The ending shots will consits of a car driving away leaving the woman alone crying with a picture watching him drive away, we did consider leaving this as the end however this was a sad ending that i thought the band would not appreciate so i have suggested is that it will be shown as a last shot however after the screen goes black the audience will here a doorbell they will then be shown the male character present a bunch of flowers for the female, this will leave it on a happy note that i think would work better for the band this at the moment is still being thought about but is an option for the ending.

Location 2 for Filming The Narrative

The Video And Drawn Storyboard

We created this video as a computerised storyboard to work from and show the band however we after filming and changing location it had to be ultered a tiny bit so i still find this video relevant following this will be a complete storyboard of both the narrative and performance.
